Scriptures used in today's video:
Genesis 22:1-14
Joshua, chapters 3 and 4

The movie, The Ten Commandments: https://amzn.to/3PUbNNM This is an old classic, super well-done.

If you're journaling, write about each of the verses we talk about. Ask God to show you how they apply to your life. He WILL show you, just be patient. These may seem like a haphazard selection of verses, but they will form the undergirding of the story.

Try personalizing the verses, too, as I showed you previously.

Verses to look up, write, and journal on before the next lesson. Remember to read their context:
Jeremiah 29:4-14

When you look up these verses, I'd recommend reading the entire chapter, so you can get them in context. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to what HE wants you to see. Be prepared to share those insights in the comments on the next video. You'll bless others by doing this and it will help you to solidify what you're learning.

As a bonus, choose two of the verses we've looked at so far and think, pray, (and preferably journal) about how those verses relate to each other and to your life.

How to slow down or speed up a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tkLmTj0j4k&t=24s

Please remember to keep your remarks respectful and uplifting. I'd love to hear your thoughts and insights within those parameters. The more you share, the better this study will be for all of us!

You can get the free e-book version of the novel here: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/es49ch5nyr If you prefer a paperback copy, that's here: https://amzn.to/3wRVnim The workbook for the study can be found here: https://amzn.to/3lKNNj2 or feel free to just write in your notebook or journal.

Scripture used in today's video:
Joshua 4

Some of the stories of great Christians I would recommend reading would be the YWAM Heroes of the Faith series. Now, yeah, these are written for 4th through 6th graders, but this is just the reading level (i.e., plenty easy for adults). The content is for anyone. I read these as an adult and absolutely ate them up. After that, I read them to my children. You can buy each book individually or get them in sets of 5 different books in the series. I'm giving you the link for one of the sets and you can go from there. Excellent, excellent books! Highly recommend for anyone. https://amzn.to/3vtDWn8

My absolutely hands down favorite missionary story of all time: https://amzn.to/3BrkP0y Bruce Olson is still alive, even after spending months in captivity with Colombian guerillas, as well as other attempts on his life. His story is truly amazing and inspiring.

Nothing can separate you from God's love!

Scriptures used in today's video (read the context, not just the verses):
Romans 8:26-28
John 6:44 (but read it in the context of the entire chapter)
I Peter 4:12 (I didn't refer to this, but should have. Please look it up.)
James 1:27
James 2:14-17
James 3 (controlling the tongue)

Plenty of Rope, for examples of the Holy Spirit leading in prayer in many different ways: https://amzn.to/3ScKnoh

One of my favorite hymns of the Faith, And Can It Be. See if you can see how this hymn, especially the 3rd and 4th verses relate to Romans 7 and 8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu2uA6U4Fxg (I used to sing this to my first born when she was crying and she would always calm down.)

Thank you to G Mos for an absolutely fantastic request to show I how I actually use my NISB. I enjoyed this soooo much! I specifically chose II John because, to be honest, I'm not all that familiar with it. Sure, I've read it a number of times, but it has never really impressed me, isn't one of my favorite books (Philippians, James, Isaiah, Proverbs, Psalms), and I couldn't have even told you what it was about -- although I know enough about the Apostle John to have guessed that it had something to do with LOVE. I wanted to show you how I use this on a book that would be relatively fresh to me ... as well as short enough to do in just a few videos. And of course, now I've completely changed my mind about II John: It's short but mighty!

So this is a 3-part series.
Part 2 is here: ⁣https://crwdview.com/watch/how....-i-use-my-new-induct
Part 3 is here: ⁣https://crwdview.com/watch/how....-i-use-my-new-induct

I hope you'll get your own Bible out and study along with me -- whether you have this wonderful inductive study Bible or not.

Please also consider sharing in the comments the things that the Holy Spirit points out to you as you study along. You have different things going on your life than I do, so He may highlight different areas or give you different insights.

For a much longer study (I Peter) using this Bible, go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys2lSienj10&list=PL-qJGkcLR7n4qff42avWQJMmfGBinU50l

Please understand (this is really important) that I'm not saying truth is relative or that the truth is different for each of us. What I'm saying is that there is sooo much truth in God's Word that none of us has the capacity to highlight all of it at once, and God makes some parts more clear to us or more important to us, depending on where we are at the time and what He wants to show us.

You can see from these articles that there isn't really much agreement as to who the "lady" was, or even if she was a specific lady. Here are a couple articles I found with different views: https://www.khouse.org/articles/2001/335/ and https://www.cbeinternational.o....rg/resources/article

You can find my photo album for this video series here: https://www.facebook.com/AlyceKayRuckelshaus/media_set?set=a.2066138243679973&type=3&uploaded=6 Although it's in Facebook, I'm pretty sure that anyone can look at it and that you don't have to have a Facebook account to do so. Please let me know if you have trouble viewing it.

I write transformational fiction and the first book in my Isaiah Cadre series is available free in ebook form! You can get that here: ⁣https://dl.bookfunnel.com/es49ch5nyr along with a free subscription to my newsletter. Sometimes, I even include the second book free in one of my newsletters.

Okay, things that I said I'd include links for ...

The New Inductive Study Bible. There are a few different cover options, so I'll send you to one and you can go from there: https://amzn.to/2LMjWG0 This link will take you to an imitation leather cover. I don't recommend the hard cover. This is a book you will be writing in -- that's the purpose of this particular study Bible -- and it's hard to write in a hardback book. Likewise, a paperback will not hold up to a lot of writing. If you can't afford the imitation leather, I would personally recommend the paperback as it will be easier to use than the hardback. You'll just have to replace it sooner, probably, and that's not the end of the world, right?

As I said, I don't recommend the pens I was using. They're just what I had immediately available. AND if using something that's not ideal is going to get you studying the Bible, then by all means, use what's less than ideal. But if possible, for the long-term, I recommend using highlighters that are made especially for the thin pages of the Bible and which you'll be able to write on top of. I like these ones: https://amzn.to/2LILIDq A second option would be good old colored pencils. Here's a nice set of 12, or pick them up and just about any store: https://amzn.to/2LLdNKy

Scriptures used in today's video (read the context, not just the verses):
Matthew 5:6
Matthew 18:19-20
Matthew 25:31-40
Ephesians 3:20, 21

If you're journaling, write about each of the verses we talk about. Ask God to show you how they apply to your life. He WILL show you, just be patient. These may seem like a haphazard selection of verses, but they will form the undergirding of the story.

Try personalizing the verses, too, as I showed you previously.

⁣ This is the book that we're using: Now It Will Spring Forth.

Verses to look up, write, and journal on before the next lesson. Remember to read their context:
I Peter 3:7
Philippians 4:19
Psalm 139
Psalm 103:13, 14

When you look up these verses, I'd recommend reading the entire chapter, so you can get them in context. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to what HE wants you to see. Be prepared to share those insights in the comments on the next video. You'll bless others by doing this and it will help you to solidify what you're learning.

As a bonus, choose two of the verses we've looked at so far and think, pray, (and preferably journal) about how those verses relate to each other and to your life.

For our latest iteration, we bring together four Indigenous female poets to speak their truth in the sixth edition of the CBC Arts series Poetic License. When it comes to Black liberation and Indigenous sovereignty, Afro-Indigenous artist Mahlikah The Moonrise Poet is done debating. In this poem entitled DON'T SPEAK, Mahlikah's colonial critique is direct and biting with lines like "you buried our stories like you buried our children" — yet she still manages to invite reconciliation and healing. Mahlikah started writing the poem in 2018 for the Louder than a Bomb Toronto Slam Finals, but its intentions shifted when Cree elder Vern Harper passed away before it was finished.

Back in the chill of March we presented our neighbours with "Giizhig".Giizhig (the Anishinaabemowin - Ojibway word for “cedar”, and pronounced “gee zhig”) is used for protection, purification and bringing balance into yourself. It is also known for attracting positive feelings, energy, and emotions. Something that was important to share with you all.We hope those positive vibes are felt when you watch our video and hear the powerful words by Canadian Poet of Honor Mahlikah The Moonrise Poet, who is sharing powerful words about Grand Mother Cedar. This project, directed by Michael Caldwell, allowed us to dance, share cedar tea and connected with our neighbours on the eve of the spring equinox. Did you participate with us? If you did we would love for you to share your experience in the comments.We hope this short video will touch your hearts, and bring smiles and depth to your day."Giizhigh is a moment of calm, a meeting, an exchange, a smile... it's a journey through and into community, a brief encounter for connection and reflection. It's a conversation between our urban landscape and the natural environment.Throughout this movement-based, traveling performance, GIIZHIG brings community together while physically apart, uplifting our spirits through our shared senses and with our collective imaginations.”CREDITS:Director: Michael CaldwellArtistic advisor: Isorine MarcCreated with and performed by: Aria Evans, Irma Villafuerte, Jane Alison McKinney, Jim (Many Hats) Adams and Michael CaldwellPoem by: Mahlikah The Moonrise Poet Video (filming and editing): Laura DittmannProduced and presented by: Jamii EsplanadeIn partnership with: Canadian StageFunded by: Ontario Government

⁣TODAY I MEDITATE & CONFESS:

I Trust GOD & Listen for HIS Voice in Everything, Everywhere, and HE Keeps Me on Track. HE Makes My Body Glow with Health & My Bones Vibrate with Life!

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects;
a father’s delight is behind all this.”
Proverbs 3:5-12 MSG

🙏 Thank You Lord God that I can trust You in everything, everywhere. I’m so grateful that You keep me on track. Thank You for making my body glow with health & my bones vibrate with life! In Jesus’ Name. Amen. ❤
