TUTORIAL/CRAFT WITH ME: Belly band for Floriculture, part 10 (Melodimade digikit) journal
Let's make a belly band! (It's not what it sounds like!) I also show how to make a very simple bookmark.
Binding in a couple days:
In addition to the items I mentioned that you'll want for binding your journal, I forgot to mention binder clips, which you can get at the Dollar Tree or WalMart. Get the large ones!!! We will be binding in a couple more videos. For this step (not today, but in a couple days), you need:
An awl - https://amzn.to/2DWxmdM
Twine or other binding material - This is the leather cord like I used (lots of color choices here): https://amzn.to/2JtkgIz
Crewel embroidery needle - https://amzn.to/2VJWr6b
Beads (optional): https://amzn.to/2VNeLeD
Binder clips: They have these at the Dollar Tree. Get big ones! If you don’t want to leave home, here they are on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2VoEkTH
Something softish-hard to put your journal on while you make the holes. (I use a piece of relatively soft wood. Some people use books that they’re taking pages out of.)
The printed trims I used in this video were from the MelodiMade kit I'm using throughout this journal. You can find the kit here: https://melodimade.com/product/floriculture-digi-kit/?v=7516fd43adaa&fbclid=IwAR3r3ahmkPTEc-mB_OmMUicEBaBs0Amh6mmEK4t3cISDAgN8ftPN0WpuYVY
The lace I'm using is from a collection of lace trim which I have bought twice now through Amazon: https://amzn.to/2EJikbP I coffee dye some rolls and leave some white.
If you have questions, please ask in the comment section below, so others can benefit from them, too.
By the way, I write transformational fiction and the first two books in my Isaiah Cadre series are available free in ebook form! You can get the first one here: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/es49ch5nyr After you read that book, the next one comes along with a free subscription to my newsletter.
